
Teriyaki Beef and Broccoli
Description
Soft and tender beef with a delicious homemade teriyaki sauce, served with broccoli and rice.

Teriyaki Sauce
Instructions

Beef
- Cut beef into strips; cut against the grain.
- Add 1 Tbsp olive oil into a dutch oven. Heat on high heat.
- Add beef and brown.
- Add onion, garlic, red pepper, and fresh ginger; stir for about 5 minutes.
- Add teriyaki sauce (see below), sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
- Bring to a boil. Turn heat down to low. Cover dutch oven and let simmer until meat is tender, about 1 hour.

Teriyaki Sauce
- Mix beef broth, soy sauce, coconut sugar, and honey together.
- Pour over beef.

Thicken sauce
- When meat is tender, mix 2 Tbsps cornstarch or arrowroot powder with 2 Tbsp water.
- Pour over meat. Bring to boil and simmer until sauce has thickened.

Serving suggestion
Serve beef with rice and steamed broccoli.
